Itinerary

Monday, July 24th:

3:30 – 5:00 p.m.: Precision MH application, tray steaming demo, drone flight demo, and discussion of on-farm Entomology research.

Triple B Farms

5:30 – 7:30 p.m.: Welcome Reception and Dinner

Lane’s Seafood & Steak House at Gregory Vineyards

275 Bowling Spring Drive

Angier, NC 27501

 

Directions to Lane’s Seafood & Steak House:

-Take I-40 exit 319 (McGee’s Crossroads/Angier Exit)

-Turn West onto Hwy 210

-Turn left (South) onto Hwy 50 and go 2 miles

-Turn right onto Stephenson Road

-Turn right onto Bowling Spring Drive

 

Suggested Hotels in Raleigh:

-Ramada Inn (Blue Ridge Road)

-Embassy Suites Raleigh-Crabtree (Creedmoor Road/Hwy 50)

-Raleigh Marriott-Crabtree Valley (Glenwood Avenue/Hwy 70)

Note: Hotel blocks have not been reserved, the suggested hotels offer a range of pricing options and are in close proximity to Creedmoor Road/Hwy 50 which is the main highway going into Oxford. The drive from this area of Raleigh to the Oxford Tobacco Research Station is about one hour.

8:20 a.m. Depart on Trams for Field Tour

8:30 – 11:00 a.m. Field Tour

11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Lunch at Research Station

12:00 p.m. Depart for the Watkins Farm – On-Farm Entomology Research Demonstration

12:30 p.m. Arrive at the Watkins Farm

1:15 p.m. Depart for Upper Coastal Plain Research Station in Rocky Mount, NC

2:30 p.m. Arrive at Upper Coastal Plain Research Station

2:45  – 5:30 p.m. Conduct tour of Research Station
