Continuing education for natural resource professionals

ProNR is the tag we give to professional continuing education training events offered by the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources at NC State University. These events are intended for working professionals in forestry, soils, landscape architecture, wildlife biology, water quality, forest hydrology, arboriculture, and any other vocation relating to forest ecosystems (managed or natural). Details and registration information for these events can be found on the ProNR Calendar.

We routinely apply for, and provide, continuing education credit hours from the following organizations:

  • Society of American Foresters
  • International Society of Arboriculture, NC Chapter
  • NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors
  • American Planning Association’s AICP program
  • NC Department of Agriculture’s Pesticide Continuing Certification
  • NC Board of Landscape Architects
  • American Institute of Architects, North Carolina Chapter
  • NC Environmental Education Credits
  • NC Board of Licensed Soil Scientists

Earning credits from home!

NC State University has partnered with Southern Regional Extension Forestry, USDA NRCS and other land-grant Universities to bring you a webinar portal providing links to forestry, natural resource and conservation related education and information.
