North Carolina is ranked Number One across the nation for farmland loss due to low density residential development.
This workshop series, directed at North Carolina landowners, will bring local farmers, landowners, and resource providers together for workshops focused on forest management and restoration, income-producing opportunities, and a discussion about heir property and succession planning. This event is designed for agricultural and forestry landowners, but all are welcome.
Join us for an interactive workshop at Isothermal Community College, where you will hear from a variety of speakers and have a chance to interact with attorneys and nonprofit farmland preservation and conservation organizations, including the Land Loss Prevention Project, Black Family Land Trust, Inc., and Roanoke Cooperative’s Sustainable Forestry and Land Retention Project.
The workshop will be held on March 10th, 2026. It will begin at 9:30 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m.
This is a free in-person event.
Lunch is provided, so registration is required.
