Forestry & Natural Resource Webinars are available live and on demand for professionals and landowners to learn about forestry and natural resource management. To participate all you need is a computer with an internet connection.

enroll_buttonSoutheastern Prescribed Fire Training:  This online training course has been developed to introduce participants to prescribed burning in Southeastern ecosystems. At the conclusion of the course, participants will have a working knowledge of fire terminology, fire law, fire prescriptions, firebreaks, smoke management and a basic understanding how to conduct a prescribed burn. The course is not intended to take the place of state Certification courses, workshops, or experience in the field; but rather to give participants a basic understanding of the principles of prescribed fire and fire effects. To enroll in this course, please visit campus.extension.org, create a free account, and search Southeastern Prescribed Fire Training.

Project Learning Tree is a multi-disciplinary environmental education program for educators and students in PreK through grade 12. PLT is a program of the American Forest Foundation and sets the standard for environmental education excellence.

Training & Events for Professionals Continuing education events offered by Extension Forestry at NC State University are intended for working professionals in forestry, soils, landscape architecture, wildlife biology, water quality, forest hydrology, arboriculture, and any other vocation relating to forest ecosystems (managed or natural).
